Sea World San DiegoRides    

Abby's Sea Star Spin
Twirl and whirl on whimsical sea-inspired teacups on Abby's Sea Star Spin.

Children under 48" must be accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years of age and older). Hand held infants may not ride this ride.

Bayside Skyride
Take a refreshing six-minute roundtrip ride across beautiful Mission Bay. The Bayside Skyride glides slowly over the bay, offering time to view the sights, sounds, and scenic beauty of Mission Bay Park. Wind/weather permitting. (There is a separate charge for this ride.)

Guests with wheelchairs should enter the ride through the rear exit. The nature of this ride requires that guests have upper body control and be capable of lifting themselves from their wheelchairs onto and off of the ride. Assistance animals are welcome to enjoy this ride. For safety reasons, all children under 56" must be accompanied by a responsible person.

Elmo's Flying Fish
Soar into the sky on Elmo's Flying Fish... a not-too-high flight of fun through an imaginary ocean.

Children under 48" must be accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years of age and older). Hand held infants may not ride this ride.

Journey To Atlantis
Challenge the power of the sea on the Journey To Atlantis water coaster. Ride a mythical rush through uncharted waters where mysterious mists and unpredictable drops lurk around every turn. Journey To Atlantis twists you around serpentine turns, plunges you down eight stories of adrenaline-pumping exhilaration and drenches you in mystery. Take excitement to new heights on Journey To Atlantis.

This ride, by its very nature, creates forces and speeds that may not be acceptable to some persons and may cause injury to some riders with pre-existing conditions. All guests should enter through the main queue entrance. Guests must be capable of lifting themselves from their wheelchairs onto and off of the ride. Those with any impairment or condition that would prevent normal seating or use of the restraints as provided shall not ride. Assistance animals are not permitted to ride Journey To Atlantis. Guests must be over 42" tall to experience this attraction. Guests between 42" and 48" tall may ride if accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years of age and older).

Oscar's Rocking Eel
Spin and slide from side-to-side on Oscar's Rocking Eel ride.

Children under 48" must be accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years of age and older). Hand held infants may not ride this ride.

SeaWorld Skytower
Take a ride up more than 265 feet on the Skytower and you will witness a panoramic view of this gorgeous corner of the world that you will never forget. On a day with good visibility you can see up to 100 miles in every direction, and take in the breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline. Witness San Diego from a whole new angle. Wind/weather permitting. (There is a separate charge for this ride.)

The Skytower is fully accessible, however, only one wheelchair on each of the two cabin levels can be accommodated per ride. If you choose to ride the Skytower with your assistance animal, you will be given your own cabin level. For safety reasons, all children under 48" must be accompanied by a responsible person.

Shipwreck Rapids
Brave the waves on Shipwreck Rapids! Spin and splash through river rapids, plunge through an underground cavern and dodge dripping cargo nets as you swirl around a tropical island. A raft-like inner tube carries nine shipwrecked passengers on an exciting five-minute journey through an isolated South Sea island. The river rapids consist of a winding course lanDISCaped with themed obstacles including waterfalls, propellers and objects hanging precariously nearby. At journey's end, castaways can relax and satisfy their appetites at Shipwreck Reef Cafe, where trainers and animals mingle with guests.

This ride, by its very nature, creates forces and speeds that may not be acceptable to some persons and may cause injury to some riders with pre-existing conditions. Guests with wheelchairs should enter through the main entrance. The nature of this ride requires that guests have upper body control and be capable of lifting themselves from their wheelchairs onto and off of the ride. Guests must be able to hold onto the center ring of the raft during the ride. Guests must be physically able to climb 15 steps or a ladder in the event of an emergency evacuation. Assistance animals are permitted to ride Shipwreck Rapids. We realize that every guest has different abilities and limitations, and may not be completely knowledgeable about our operation and the nature of our rides. To assist our guests, we encourage them to visit the Guest Relations office to obtain a list of rides they can safely ride. Guests must be over 42" tall to experience Shipwreck Rapids. Guests between 42" and 48" tall may ride if accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years of age and older).

Wild Arctic
Board a simulated jet helicopter for an unforgettable motion-based "flight" to a remote research station called Base Station Wild Arctic. You'll experience a wild adventure of real bumps, jumps and zips. You'll disembark and find yourself in a realistic arctic research station -- bringing you face to face with polar bears, beluga whales, walruses, arctic foxes and seals. You'll feel the freeze as you pass through Wild Arctic's ice tunnel, complete with foggers, misters, simulated snow and a 25-foot-long ice wall. It's a wild adventure for all!

This ride, by its very nature, creates forces that may not be acceptable to some persons and may cause injury to some riders with pre-existing conditions. All guests should enter through the main entrance. You will be given the option of enjoying the Wild Arctic experience in the motion cabin or non-motion theater. The motion cabin requires that guests have upper body control and be capable of lifting themselves from their wheelchairs onto and off of the ride. The non-motion theater allows complete wheelchair accessibility and can accommodate several wheelchairs at a time. Three point harnesses and assisted listening devices are available upon request. If you choose to experience Wild Arctic with your assistance animal, you will be given your own row in the cabin. If you have an assistance animal request, please see the Wild Arctic flight crew. Guests must be over 42" tall to experience this attraction. Guests between 42" and 48" tall may ride if accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years of age and older).

Watch dolphins leap into the sky at Ignight, a high-flying mix of music, water and amazing animal acrobatics. Experience this nighttime only show.

Lights, Camera, Imagination
A 4D theatre experience featuring Elmo, Big Bird, Bert, and Ernie and all your Sesame Street friends. In this colorful and captivating movie event, you'll attend the Sesame Street Film Festival to see Sesame Street characters present their fun-filled film creations. But when the projector fails, everyone must use their imagination to finish the show.

Pets Rule
Venture into the tail-chasing, ruckus-raising world of your pet in SeaWorld's all-new Pets Rule ! Dogs dance, cats cavort and birds flock. Even a potbellied pig gets into the act. Shamu Rocks
Shamu Rocks combines the flash of a rock concert with the splash of Shamu. A fireworks extravaganza that uses Shamu Believe show music choroegraphed to firework blasts that light up the sky.

Aquarium De La Mer
Aquarium de la Mer, near the Cirque Stadium, is home to many exotic and beautiful creatures, from tiny seahorses to the giant Pacific Octopus. Also, other fascinating creatures include venomous but beautiful lionfish, swell sharks and delicate moon jellyfish.

California Tide Pool
Roll up your sleeves and touch a starfish, sea urchin or other fascinating creature in the California Tide Pool... a recreation of one of the ocean's richest environments. Kids and adults alike will love the special touch-pool where one can also discover fascinating tube worms, sea hares and hermit crabs. Park educators are always on hand to answer questions and share information.

Coco Loco Games And Attractions
From skeeball to basketball, midway games to video games, Coco Loco Arcade and Games offers fun and excitement for all ages. There are plenty of chances to win official SeaWorld plush, electronics and other great prizes. Also experience the Extreme Zone featuring rock climbing and the Rad Bungee jump. Coco Loco Arcade and Games is located near Shamu's Happy Harbor. There is a separate charge for these attractions.

Flamingo Cove
Take a stroll across the bridge to Flamingo Cove where Caribbean flamingos mingle and frolic in the San Diego sun. Get even closer at the Lowe's Deck where you can purchase bird food to feed these colorful birds.

Forbidden Reef
Touch and feed California bat rays! Get face-to-face with moray eels! And take an up-close look at hundreds of these exotic creatures in their mysterious world of underwater caverns.

Freshwater Aquarium
The species found in the Freshwater Aquarium, located near the Garden of Discovery, are representative of those found in the continents of North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Some of the fish species on display include four-eyed fish, electric eel and freshwater stingrays.

Manatee Rescue
One of only three U.S. locations outside Florida displaying the endangered Florida manatee. Here you can see several rescued and rehabilitated manatees residing in a 215,000-gallon freshwater river featuring a natural environment for manatees and a dramatic underwater viewing gallery for guests.

Penguin Encounter
Chill out with nearly 400 Antarctic penguins at the Penguin Encounter, a snow-filled habitat where penguins swim and waddle in 25F degree temperatures. The Penguin Encounter is home to six Antarctic and sub-Antarctic species, including the Magellanic penguins, warm-weather penguins native to Chile and Argentina that play outside, and a lively group of Arctic birds, Atlantic and tufted puffins plus common murre.

A moving sidewalk is in place to take guests along the window to view the penguins. We recommend that guests using wheelchairs and those with assistance animals experience the exhibit from the viewing area above the walkway. If you choose to use the moving sidewalk, please note that the moving sidewalk can only accommodate wheelchairs up to 24" wide.

Rocky Point Preserve
A two-part attraction that allows guests to see and learn about bottlenose dolphins and California sea otters. Guests can enjoy feeding the fun-loving dolphins at specified times each day and visit an underwater viewing area for an exciting look at the dolphins surfing and frolicking, while curious and furry sea otters dive for crabs and sea urchins nearby. Surrounding the animal habitat are several interactive elements that are designed to educate kids and grown-ups alike about these magnificent animals.

Shamu's Happy Harbor
Climb aboard the "Wahoo Two," a ready-to-explore fun ship for pretend pirates docked right in the center of Shamu's Happy Harbor. Play your way through a crazy water maze, splash down cool slides, crawl through a sea of plastic balls, or create your own sand castle in more than 200 tons of sand!

Shark Encounter
Come face-to-face with sharks of all shapes and sizes. This 280,000-gallon attraction features a 57-foot, walk-through acrylic tube running the length of the sharks' habitat. As you travel through the sharks' amazing world, you can view hundreds of fascinating sand tiger, bonnethead, blacktip and whitetip sharks.

A moving walkway is the only way to exit Shark Encounter. If you choose to use the walkway, please use caution with your assistance animal. Guests using wheelchairs must be assisted by someone capable of pushing the wheelchair on and off the walkway. We recommend that guests using wheelchairs or assistance animals, refrain from using the moving walkway and exit the exhibit by walking back towards the entrance. If you need assistance while experiencing this exhibit, please ask the attendant located at the exhibit entrance.

World Of The Sea Aquarium
World of the Sea Aquarium is located near Shipwreck Rapids. It features a tropical display of warm water fish found in many areas of the world including the Caribbean Sea, South Pacific, Gulf of California, Gulf of Mexico and the Indian Ocean. World of the Sea Aquarium also has a local marine fish display, which simulates what guest were to see if they were to snorkel or scuba dive off the coast of San Diego.
